The bodies of 20-year old Alvin Troub and his brother, 8-year old Michael Runyon, were recovered today in Independence.

(INDEPENDENCE, Ore.) - The bodies of two brothers were recovered from the Willamette River in Independence today. They had been missing since Sunday when they were dropped off at Riverview Park to go fishing.

Sgt. Rick Igou with Independence Police says fifteen law enforcement and fire agencies, including several dive teams from valley agencies, assisted today with the search and recovery of the two young brothers who were missing from Riverview Park in Independence.

The bodies of 20-year old Alvin Troub and his brother, 8-year old Michael Runyon, were found within 40 feet of shore in 10 to 15 feet of water and were found about 7 feet from one another. This location was close to where their fishing poles were found.

The bodies were taken to Farnstrom's Mortuary at 410 Monmouth Street, Independence.

The family of the deceased and the Independence Police Department want to thank all the people who assisted in the search as well as those people who supported the family and the search teams.
