TriWest Contributes $30,000 to Oregon National Guard Fund

Gift supports home front needs of families with deployed service members.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - TriWest Healthcare Alliance will present $30,000 to the Oregon National Guard's Emergency Relief fund, which will support the needs of Guard members and their families in emergency situations, especially during periods of deployment.

"TriWest made the contribution with the hope that we can make a difference in the lives of the Service members and families serving our country," said TriWest President and CEO David McIntyre, Jr.

"National Guard families live in our communities, not on a military base, so they may lack the support network that base living provides. It's up to the rest of us to recognize their needs and assist them."

Scott Celley, vice president of External Affairs at TriWest, will present the check to Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski and Maj. Gen. Raymond F. Rees, adjutant general of the Oregon National Guard, at the opening of the State Reintegration Summit at 9:15 AM today at the Anderson Readiness Center, 3225 State Street in Salem, Oregon

Gov. Kulongoski will welcome participants to the State Reintegration Summit, a day-long conference to help returning troops learn how to reintegrate back into their communities. An anticipated 250 troops, counselors and educators will attend the summit.
