(Portland, Oregon) - For the second straight season, sophomore Chandra Baskoro (Gresham, Ore.) was the lone member of Corban's women's volleyball team to be named All-Cascade Collegiate Conference 1st team with junior Tiffany Land (Independence, Ore.) earning honorable mention recognition according to the league office's announcement Monday. "I am very excited to have two players recognized for All-CCC honors," said second-year head coach Nels Norquist. "Chandra continues to amaze me, as she finished 4th in kills per game and plays much bigger than her roster size. I'm sure it is the offense that gets her a lot of votes, but she was a rock in serve receive this year and continues to anchor this young team. Tiff had some great games this year, hitting over .500%. She put in a lot of time during the offseason and really improved her hitting percentage. It is nice to see other coaches take notice." Baskoro, a 5-foot-7 outside hitter, led the Warriors in kills (233), kills per set (3.38), and total attempts (776), while finishing second on the team in service aces (17), digs (228), and digs per set (3.30). The hard-hitting sophomore registered a season-high 18 kills in a hard-fought five-set loss to Concordia, while registering a team-high 11 double-doubles this season that included a season-high 21 digs versus Northwest. In two seasons as a Warrior, Baskoro has recorded 476 kills and 554 digs in 47 matches. Baskoro's set averages in both kills (2.85) and digs (3.32) rank in the Top 5 all-time in program history in each category. Land, a 5-foot-10 middle blocker, led the Warriors in total blocks (58), solo blocks (27), and blocks per set (0.84), while finishing in the Top 3 in kills (163), kills per set (2.36), and block assists (31). The third-year Warrior registered a season-high 15 kills in a three-set win at Warner Pacific, while recording a season-high six blocks in a hard-fought five-set loss versus Concordia. In three seasons at Corban, Land has recorded 566 kills and 150 blocks in 73 matches. Land's career totals in kills, kills per set, blocks, and blocks per set rank just outside the Top 10 all-time in program history. This is the second straight All-CCC 1st Team honor for Baskoro, while Land earns her first-ever all-conference award.
