Blue Ghost Recorded on Ohio Gas Station Camera (Video)

The owner told Salem-News that this isn't the first time he has been witness to something that defied explanation.

Gas station ghost

(PARMA, Ohio) - Could an Ohio gas station be built atop an old Indian burial ground? That's what one man says in Parma, Ohio, an incorporated city southwest of Cleveland, where a gas station owner caught something he wasn't at all trying for. A security camera caught a blue ghost on video, and it seems to be in no apparent hurry; the recording lasted half an hour.

It is not clear exactly how many people have observed this phenomena, or if its origin is truly from a Native American resting place.

It is known that between 1950 and 1980, Parma's population soared from less than 20,000 to more than 110,000. That could perhaps account for quick development and even possibly, the paving of a burial ground.

"I actually watched it for 30 minutes and then actually I watched it move and that is when I got freaked out," said the Marathon Gas Station's owner, Ameed Abuzahrieh.

He says this was the first time an image of that nature was recorded, but he told Salem-News that this is not the first time he has been witness to something that defied explanation. The first time was when he was a small boy growing up in Palestine.

"It was a nice time, my brothers and cousins and I were outside at night and we saw this thing come out of an old house and go stand by a tree. It was all in white and it went to the tree and stood there for about a minute, then disappeared."

I asked Mr. Abuzahrieh if the apparition from his childhood memory resembled the image his station camera recorded, and he said what he saw in his native Palestine as a child was different, "No this looked like a person, only in white" he added. The image recorded by the gas station camera, however ghostly, lacks the human description he recalled from the childhood event.

But what the heck is it?

I can say after spending twenty years in TV news, that the blue image is not easily explained.

Some people in the area are convinced that the image is a blue balloon or garbage bag, but others have a more grand notion of what floated around his station that night, according to the owner.

"It has many people coming here. A lot of people come in and tell me its an angel".

Mr. Abuzahrieh said his 18-year old nephew passed away three weeks before the video was recorded. He fell from the 11th floor of a 12-story building in the Cincinnati area. He says that his family is still very saddened by the loss on October 9th. He declined to speculate whether there could be a connection between his nephew's tragic death and the ghostly blue image moving about the gas station.

Oh, and one more thing, the blue ghostly presence recorded on video was reportedly visible to the naked eye as well. So far there has only been one occurrence, the blue light that many people believe is a ghost or angel, was recorded leaving the property.

You all want the truth? It is a creature that is made up entirely of energy, a conscousness and appears to people beig an illuminous aura. It is what I call a minituar version of its father, Vivid, the entitiy who was responsible for overturning several cars and also caused terrible disasters. However I realize none of you will believe this but hey, you wanted to know. Sometimes the truth is the strangest thing to hear.

My 5th grade social studies teacher and her husband went to see a play at the Victoria Theater and they were running late and she had to go to the bathroom, While she was in there she heared the sound of a some ladides clicking of heals running, she comes out of the bathrooms she said to her husband,"I guess somelse was late, too."he said"Nobody else came out" she says "But I heard someone running out."he replies"I was standing right outside the door,I saw NO ONE come out of that bathroom!" Terrified, she ran to the play.

I don't think it's a bug, in the video at minute: 1:16 you can see how it moves a wings at the sides of its body, it's look more like human form in some moments.

Glorya February 17, 2008 8:27 am (Pacific time)

Hey guys! What are you discuss here? Im sure, it was a simple animation… Good to see someone’s doing their bit to debunk some of the alleged ghost footage out there, and actually offers a sensible explanation… http://www.veoh.com/videos/v3794361sqDMG5Rz

Biju January 23, 2008 12:27 pm (Pacific time)

My friend showed me this video and he thinks its paranormal. So here is my 2cents. Movement: If you look closely at the movements, you will know it moves like an insect. Blurriness: Anyone who uses a camera knows that if an object is close to the lens, the object is blurred. Try taking a picture close to a fence. Blue Color: Security cam sometimes lies about color. I recently walked through Costco and surprised seeing my shirt in a different color on thier surviellance cam for sale. Perspective: Since, its not a 3D camera, it looks like its in the air. But its actually moving around on the lens. When they say its on the windshield, it's actually on the side of the lens.

I think it's from some fat dude eating too much mexican food and cut a big fart.

Terrell December 27, 2007 10:45 am (Pacific time)

It looks like a little critter to me! On the cover for the camera. So it looks large (technique used in film making called larger than life). The camera is focused for objects that more than a few feet away, not inches or less so that would explain the blurry object and the slight transparent look around the edges. I can clearly see what looks like legs and antennae when the object moves. As for the color, many cameras do not represent true color as humans see it and aren't needed to. This is by design/limitations or the fact that certain colors can be easily contrasted so a license plate may be read or a physical description of a persons face can be made out.

Matt B. December 24, 2007 10:30 pm ( December 24, 2007 11:40 pm (Pacific time)

I think theat it is a bug on the camera lens.. if it was then the guy with the white car would have seen it. Plus wouldent there be a faint shadow?

Reality Check December 24, 2007 10:19 pm (Pacific time)

Why must people always look for a supernatural explanation before using logic? Are they that bored with life? This is an insect of some sort, maybe a silverfish, crawling on the lens, too close for focus. The blue hue could be due to refractions from the lights and/or the lens coating or lens cover. That so many think it's a "ghost" is not surprising in this 50% Creationist nation. These are the same people who think something well documented like Global Warming is a "hoax."

Raven December 10, 2007 1:57 am (Pacific time)

Okay, people who think it's a bug, it's not. I don't think bugs are that big to fit on a windsheild.[sp? w/e] It's a ghost or an angel, something. There are some things we can't explain in this world, and you have to live with it.

Michael Perrigo December 7, 2007 7:41 am (Pacific time)

This is clearly an angel. As it moves to the left of the screen and lands you see his wings fold. You are ignorant and scared of the truth if you say that it is a bug or a ..."plastic bag" pfft!. Clearly the gas station owners nephew died on October 9th and the Angel was visiting him. All of you out there who deny this obviously apparent visual (sent for that very reason [to be visual proof of God's coming]) you are all in for a rude awakening that is just around the corner.

Shane McGraw November 28, 2007 6:25 am (Pacific time)

It is a bug on the plastic covering over the camera lens. The color is misrepresented and unreliable. Look at the reporter's outfit on security cam then on tv cam. Colors are ALL OFF. It's a friggin' BUG. What a bunch of morons... Angels indeed!

Phil November 26, 2007 1:45 pm (Pacific time)

It's a bug dummy

Dustin Wishard November 22, 2007 8:44 pm (Pacific time)

Thats Some Weird S%$t Man

b.barnes November 21, 2007 1:21 am (Pacific time)

As a paranormal investigator and going over hundreds of hours of video this could be listed as unknown, I am very skeptic but a bug is out of the question since the image is transparent and changes form!!! www.cpsi-paranormal.org will try to contact this establishment and try to do a scientific investigation if possible. This seems to be out of the ordinary in my opinion!

M.G age 14 November 19, 2007 9:08 am (Pacific time)

that is some plastic bag(sarcastic). the picture is quite clear that it is in fact a genuine ghost. it is amazingly stupid that people thought it was a plastic bag when no one saw it and considering ghosts are invisible to the naked eye. i believe personally that it is a ghost.

Robert S. November 18, 2007 8:47 am (Pacific time)

My very first impression was that its a bug.. the longer the video played, the more obvious is that it's a bug. I watched it a second time. It's a bug. Looks like one of those flying ant things. The blue coloring? Eh, between it being ultra close, out of focus and under those fluorescent lights? It could look blue.. Now let's get back to seeing Jesus in tortillas!

anonymous November 16, 2007 8:23 am (Pacific time)

this is a unique bilyered cytokenesis!! it's unbelieveable...i saw one in my time but didnt believe my eyes, until this story revealed the truth.

anonymous November 16, 2007 8:19 am (Pacific time)

yo mama...there are no ghosts!!! you all are CRAZY

Jigsy November 16, 2007 6:56 am (Pacific time)

Boondah November 15, 2007 10:55 pm (Pacific time)

Hum. . .Ariel C, is it possibly that there might be something wrong with you. "Friendly?!"

Laura November 15, 2007 9:33 pm (Pacific time)

Not a bug. Possibly a blue gorcery bag....maybe something else. Seems to move with purpose though. does not seem to be moving from wind. WEIRD!!!

from a Port-Simpson family November 15, 2007 1:59 pm (Pacific time)

pretty wicked stuff never thought anyone would beable to catch it on camera and ya i think it is an ghost not a bug

Yvonne M. from Philadelphia November 15, 2007 11:26 am (Pacific time)

I think it is a ghost because other people also saw it. Definitely it is not a bug. It would not be blue if it is a bug. I have experienced seeing bright light out of no where.

Hawk November 15, 2007 10:30 am (Pacific time)

I'd like to believe its a ghost, but I think most likely it is an out of focus bug walking on the camera lens. If you think of it in terms of a bug on the camera lens, you will notice the movements are consistent and proportional to that of a bug. Watch it again and you will see what I am talking about.

zoobrA November 14, 2007 11:47 pm (Pacific time)

i think it is the ghost of our dead foreign policy

Derrick Miller November 14, 2007 6:50 pm (Pacific time)

By the nature of its movements, it appears to be an insect walking across the lense of the camera. Because it is so close to the camera, it does not focus.

Ariel C. November 14, 2007 5:53 pm (Pacific time)

I can not believe what this amazing ghost could possibly be. My sister likes this story alot like me. We named him friendly.
