(LINCOLN CITY) - Demonstrating their commitment to make real progress on real issues, Senate Democrats this weekend announced their leaders for the 2007 legislative session and reaffirmed their agenda of strengthening schools, making health care more affordable, increasing economic security and keeping neighborhoods safe. At a meeting this weekend, Senate Democrats elected the following leaders:
At the same meeting, the caucus also reiterated its support for its Senate Democratic Agenda. “With a Democratic Governor, a Democratic Senate and a Democratic House, we have a real opportunity to will make meaningful progress on issues that really matter to Oregonians,” said Senate Majority Leader Brown. “The Democratic agenda is the Oregon agenda—strong schools, affordable health care, economic security and safe neighborhoods.” Brown noted that many of the specific policy initiatives in the Senate Democratic Agenda – including health coverage for all children, full funding of Head Start, reduced class sizes, and investments in renewable energy – are also in the 2007 legislative agendas of the House Democrats and the Governor. “These priorities aren’t just Senate priorities,” said Senator Brown. “They’re priorities for the Governor and our colleagues in the House, and we will all be working together to make sure they become a reality for Oregon families.” Many of the Senate Democratic leaders elected this weekend have held their positions for one or more sessions. Senator Courtney has been Senate President since 2003 and Senator Brown has been Senate Democratic Leader since 1998. Under Senate Rules, Senators Courtney and Carter must receive 16 votes each from the full Senate to be elected President and President Pro Tempore, respectively. The Senate will convene Jan. 8th, 2007. Articles for November 11, 2006 | Articles for November 12, 2006 | Articles for November 13, 2006 | googlec507860f6901db00.html | |

Henry: That was the one of the BEST lines of crap that I ever read....and i read an AWFUL LOT.
Henry Ruark November 15, 2006 8:22 pm (Pacific time)
Kurt et al: NO - referred to stand-up personal honest I.D. IF you are not ready to give that information, you abuse process of communication here by hiding behind anonymity. IF you share with editor, that protects you and your email for relay to ME, so I can further document and discuss...and preserve confidentiality while making ethical progress via honest dialog. I NEVER betray that! IF you are not willing to do so, then better reconsider what you are stating publicly, seeking trust from readers. That shapes the dialog in distrustful way and destroys individual responsibilities.
Kurt Huckee November 15, 2006 10:12 am (Pacific time)
Hank, I may be misunderstanding you. I think you mean I.D. your source, not who you actually are or any personal information including e-mail. Am I correct?
Henry Ruark November 14, 2006 6:47 pm (Pacific time)
Buck, Kurt et al: Ross not first with this old yarn, been there, wrote about it 20 years ago. Re ID: Communication requires knowledge of source to be credibly rec'd, without that simple b-b/feeling...
Kurt Huckee November 14, 2006 4:36 pm (Pacific time)
Matt Johnson, You are being a hypocrite. You insult me for making a general comment to some people that might need a little shock treatment. You remind me of the moron eqriddler that used to come on here. I have to agree with Buckwheat and Stymie, I will not I.D. myself because there has been instances of terrible loss of privacy for those who do. I have no intention of crossing any boundary lines or I.D.ing myself. Ain't that right eq?

Henry, Read Who's Who of the Elite by Robert Gaylon Ross, Sr. it will be a good starting point for you. It explains the Federal Reserve, the 12 member banks and the private ownership these member banks. Very few Americans, except a few at a relatively high level in finance know about this stuff. I studied Banking, Finance and Investments in college which started my curiosity in how things really work. I am shocked by the fact that only about half if that of people in the brokerage and banking business know about this. Give Ross a shot. The peak year of the depression 1933 was the year that $20 gold pieces were not put into circulation. I wish I had more of them, some are worth well into the thousands. If you have internet access there are plenty of sources that explain the fed. The Fund to Restore and Educated Electorate F.R.E.E. will also give you the insight you need.

Henry; One doesn't need to ID themselves to be a credible source of info.
Henry Ruark November 14, 2006 11:25 am (Pacific time)
Kurt: SO share some of your sources --obviously too many for single-reference. If you wish credibility, ID yourself, too. Send to Editor with emailer and I'll continue, gladly, without stealing time-space here.

Be good Americans.
Mark Steinbolt November 14, 2006 10:16 am (Pacific time)
Ok, ok, thanks for the try. But how about doing something real, like starting a resistance. One example of a resistence against such plundering from this government can be found at: http://www.theresistancemanifesto.com/ You will see one example of a real patriot actually putting "effort" into bringing reform to this country(check out John Conners videos). People need to know the root of the problem in order to understand that we are manipulated. And people must learn how that manipulation is set up, and by whom, and spread this information to everyone, so that EVERYONE becomes "Illuminated" with the truth.
Kurt Huckee November 14, 2006 3:55 am (Pacific time)
Mark, Less and less government... especially federal bureaucracy. We have to abolish the Federal Reserve System that creates money out of nothing. We need to go back to the Gold standard. Otherwise we will always be subjected to wild economic swings. A dollar should always have something backing it up. Read about the history of the Federal Reserve System created on Dec. 22, 1913. It gave some very powerful people the right to create money out of nothing and then charge interest on it. There are too many government jobs that interfere with life. Your life will not change until things are dismantled. Look at something as stupid as I.R.S. code. It is so complicated that every year many people have to spend weeks getting things in order to pay a professional to make sense out of this random crap. This is just an example. How do you like the motor vehicles bureau? That is a tiny example of too much government control. The bigger picture has to start with defrocking the facade of the Fed which is not a part of the Treasury or the government. It is a privately owned corporation. A consortium of banks so to speak. It took about 100 years to build the layer of crap and it will take a long time to bring it down. Along with all of the bloodsucking lawyer liar politicians. The whole system works like a retarded snail. There is a tax, fee, fine, surcharge on everything. You do not see most of it. Get rid of these fees and you get rid of the government behind it.
Mark Steinbolt November 13, 2006 10:27 pm (Pacific time)
Huckee: How do you propose we "dismantle" the likes of the mentioned? I would love to hear that plan.
Henry Ruark November 13, 2006 6:52 pm (Pacific time)
Kurt: What's your plan to remedy that long-known situation ? IF you have one, detail it. If not, don't waste time, effort, but go do something...nearly anything except gripe.
Matt Johnson November 13, 2006 5:30 pm (Pacific time)
Well why don't we all go jump off a cliff eh Kurt? You are not a man of intelligence, obviously, so stick your insults where the sun doesn't shine. You shouldn't have to look very far.
Kurt Huckee November 12, 2006 6:47 pm (Pacific time)
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss....song from? Was it "The Who"? Until you dismantle the likes of the Rothchilds and other financiers of war and global control, this other stuff is small potatos. Where in the hell do you people think the money for wars comes from? It is lent by global bankers. You pay the interest on the loan out of your federal and sometimes state tax dollars. Dummys!
