Obama Wins Another TermPolitical Perspective by Tim King Salem-News.com
A Human Rights Reporter's thoughts on Election Night 2012
(SACRAMENTO, CA) - As children we learn that taking more than your share is a 'bad' thing because it limits others. As adults we discover that many believe it is all about possession and greed, and 'he who dies with the most toys wins'.
We are told lying is wrong and that any form of violence has negative consequences. Then we grow up and discover that our government's leaders lie through their teeth to us in order to start wars and are never taken to task for their crimes.
We are told, 'hands are not for hurting'. But the truth is that the second your child turns 18, or 17 with parental permission, they can enlist in the military, be trained to kill, and go to war and kill people and possibly be killed. The wars overseas are so real and disastrous... they never should have happened.
The U.S. has wars in store for other parts of the world too. The aggression the nation is showing to its primary investor, China, is certainly on the radar. American politicians like to wage war and we need to put an end to their ways.
It is hard when we live in a country that brokers death and is guided by a government that believes it is OK to kill by the million. When it is learned that there was no evidence or justification for the violence, such as in Iraq, there is no remorse.
Barack Obama He sold his people's soul under the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which allows Americans to be arrested and detained indefinitely without charges. Romney hails from a gay-bashing right-wing religion that didn't allow Black people to serve in higher echelons until the late 1970's; whose founder taught his Mormon followers that African-Americans were Black because they were bad and being punished by God.
Yup, that's America, a place nearing the end of the line it seems, at this moment the results are split down the middle, 163 to 163 electorate votes, it is incredible.

Tim specializes in writing about political and military developments worldwide; and maintains that the label 'terrorist' is ill placed in many cases; specifically with the LTTE Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, where it was used as an excuse to slaughter people by the tens of thousands; and in Gaza, where a trapped population lives at the mercy of Israel's destructive military war crime grinder. At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide. You can write to Tim at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
