Trever McGhee plans to firewalk 400 feet to set a new world's record

(CALGARY) - If someone challenged you to walk on fire to help others, how far would you go? 10, 20, 40 feet? What about the entire length of a football field goalpost to goalpost? That’s what Trever McGhee achieved in his most recent firewalk of 389 feet to support charity on July 7th of this year, breaking his prior Guinness World Record™ of 294 feet.

This time, he wants other people to join him and be part of the Guinness World Records™ Annual Challenge to the world between November 6th-12th. He says he needs help from the public to break three records, says spokesperson Candace Regan. She's the Director of the group Angels Knocking Challenge.

"Once we’ve broken each record, you can get your own certificate for helping to break that Guinness World Record™" she added.

"He’ll walk the length about 400 feet and you walk the width of two feet on November 6, 2007 in support of a charity of your choice while supporting non-violence, raising awareness and funding for the victims of the Southern California wildfires."

She says that since the walk could not take place in Los Angeles due to the fires in Southern California, Trever, who lives in Los Angeles, is in Calgary challenging the US States to come together, participate in this event and lend their support.

Too Much Fear Factor

Trever says you don’t have to walk on coals or even show up there to receive the same positive benefits from the walk. All you have to do is send him a positive message for yourself or someone else within the next 6 days which he’ll place within the fire for you to achieve your intentions.

You can send your positive messages for yourself or someone else to facebook.com/group group Angels Knocking or at angelsknocking.com

Trever says, “Fire can be very dangerous, but also very rewarding. Out of the flames and ashes rises great inspiration used in very effective transformational trainings that will change your life forever.”

In addition, a group of teens are walking for the first time to support non-violence. They say they are tired of watching the rate of violence grow and something has do be done about it, somebody has to take a stand.

Trever has spent the last two years and more than $100,000 of his own supporting others through his firewalks. He has formed Angel Achievers, a non-profit charity corporation, with 100% of each donation going to the charity each contributor chooses.

The event location is Symons Valley Rodeo Grounds, 260011 Symons valley Road NW, Calgary Alberta.
