Memorial Day F-15 Oregon Flyovers Announced

The Oregon Air National Guard has been an integral part of the nation's air defense since 1941.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - The Oregon Air National Guard will salute America's fallen heroes and veterans with flyovers for various ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington on Memorial Day.

Two F-15 Eagle jet fighters from the 142nd Fighter Wing will depart the Portland Air Base.

One jet will fly over community events in Portland and the other will cover outlying areas and Southwest WA at the following times and locations:

10:00 AM - Oregon City Mountain View Cemetery 10:03 AM - Gresham Heroes Memorial 10:10 AM - Willamette National Cemetery 10:13 AM - Vietnam Veteran's Memorial 10:16 AM - Portland Yacht Club 10:50 AM - Mt. Angel Calvary Cemetery 11:00 AM - Beaverton Memorial Park 11:03 AM - Scappoose Heritage Park 11:05 AM - Woodland Veteran's Memorial, WA 11:15 AM - Forest Grove Forest View Cemetery 11:30 AM - Longview Memorial Park, WA 11:32 AM - Castle Rock, WA 11:40 AM - Warrenton Oceanview Cemetery Noon - Independence Airport 12:30 AM - Tualatin Valley Memorial Park Cemetery

All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and 350 knots airspeed. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies.

The Oregon Air National Guard has been an integral part of the nation's air defense since 1941.

The 142nd Fighter Wing maintains continuous alert with F-15's from Portland as part of the Western Air Defense System.

what about salem I didnt see them metion a fly over in salem were the capital city with a majority of vets living here im sure they were apprechiate something like this too.
