California Residents Observe Sri Lankan Tamil Genocide

For the voice of Justice for Eelam Tamils (Candle light Vigil @ SantaMonica Beach in remembering 146,679 people including 25,000+ children)

Tamil Genocide in Sri Lanka

(SANTA MONICA) - Any western parent who comprehensively understood what the government of Sri Lanka did to its own population in May 2009, would demand the U.S. end all support of this war crime state.

Children were butchered, countless women and children were raped, soldiers with white flags were shot dead in their tracks. Sri Lanka is dangerous.

Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka are in urgent need of an International voice. Salem-News.com has covered the conflict for years that ended in the Genocidal deaths of around 150,000 innocent people in 2009, it happened while the U.S. government turned its head, it is a shameful event for all of humanity. The same government, led by Sri Lankan President Majinda Rajapakse and his band of brothers (Sri Lanka is suffering from heavy doses of nepotism, Rajapakse and his brothers run the entire country.) continue to persecute the Hindu and Christian Tamils whose bloodlines date back to the earliest civilizations on the earth.

Sri Lanka quests to be a Sinhalese Buddhist-only nation. "Sinhalazation" is sweeping the former Tamil regions. Rape, murder, torture, arbitrary and illegal arrests... these are the hallmarks of this island nation.

Four years have passed since Sri Lanka's brutal Genocide in the breakaway state of Tamil Eelam on May 2009, and Tamils in Eelam at the occupation of Lankan Army are still at the fear of their extinction at this very moment. The Sinhalese Racist Genocidal state continues to perpetuate a structural genocide after their War Campaign against Tamils in May 2009 killing more than 146,000 Tamils.

From the outcry of millions of Tamils around the world, this issue was brought to the United Nations, but to add to the fury, the United Nations reduced this brutality as "a minor human right violations in a civil war" and passed resolutions to implement a "Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Committee Report (LLRC) which was drafted by the very own Sri Lankan Genocidal state who perpetuated the crime. This is like making the accused as judge to punish himself. This is helping the Genocidal state to continue it's crime with:

  • continue Military deployments in Tamil Homeland
  • forced disappearances of civilians,
  • sexual violence and forced pregnancy as pat of structural genocide
  • planned settlements of sinhala population in Tamil Homeland to change the Demography

Sethu Swaminathan in Los Angeles, explains:

"We are conducting an event here in SantaMonica Beach @ the Pier today May 19, 2013 at 7:30 PM with candle light Vigil in remembering 1,46,679 people including 25,000+ children who lost their lives in the Lanka War in 2009!"

Those interested in supporting this extremely important event should head to Santa Monica pier and partake in this memorial and observation. The Tamils were killed in ways too heinous to explain and the perpetrators of those crimes against humanity remain threatening and unrepentant.

At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide.
