Battle Hymn of America's Zionists

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Welcome to sing-along-karaoke-satire. It is a lighthearted way of examining very serious subjects that haunt Americans of conscience increasingly.

It is a paradox, living in a nation that crushes and destroys human life for the sake of business interests, one that considers itself the finest and very above the fray.

Though I suspect that even the diehard individuals know and accept in their hearts, that we are the same as all oppressive, occupational military mindsets that came before us. I say "we" because I contributed to the problems also as an 'embedded reporter' there to seemingly glorify a mission that has left up to or more than a million and a half dead people in its wake.

Americans who are 'cool' with that are lucky, because there are millions of us who abhor what has happened in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and Palestine, and Lebanon. We are disgusted by the outpouring of funds for war that could and should be used for so many other things.

The thing that got me about this poem is the aspect relating to Fallujah. This is a place I have visited and today, it is where desperate doctors write to me telling me about the myriad birth defects taking place because of American weapons. We're talking about depleted uranium, (DU) the gift that keeps on giving. Then of course there is America's direct support of Israel's military efforts, which are Genocidal toward the Palestinian population.

New rhetorical-lyrics to Battle Hymn of the Republic written by anti-Zionist poet P.A. Miller (U.S.A.).

BATTLE HYMN OF AMERICA'S ZIONISTS

They’ve taught us since our childhood who to hate and who to love;
They taught us in our classrooms to salute a Flag above;
They send us off to battle with the banner of a dove;
Our Flag keeps marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.

We place it near the watch-fires of our hundred circling camps,
We build for it an altar in the evening dews and damps;
We pray to it beside our dim and flaring lamps:
Our Flag keeps marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.

We fight to raise our Flag with burnished guns of steel:
They teach us well on TV with whom our scorn must deal;
Our nation marches forward, crushing Muslims with our heel;
Our flag is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.

We’ve sounded forth a trumpet that has rarely called retreat;
We’ve sifted out the hearts of men before our judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, your souls to answer us, be quick upon your feet!
Our Flag is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ spoke of love and peace,
The rise of modern Zion has transfigured you and me:
Our flag is crossing oceans as we kill to make men free,
Our flag is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.

Our ships go where they need to on the cresting of a wave,
Our people always mighty; we hold homage to our brave,
The world shall be our footstool, and the Bible be our slave,
Our Flag is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!
We're not sorry for Fallujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our Flag is marching on.
