Hooters Regional Swimsuit Contest Semi-Finals (PHOTOS)

The Most beautiful Hooters Girls compete at the semi-finals and patrons are invited to support their local favorites.

(ATLANTA) - Hooters says they're having the hottest event of the summer and it has nothing to do with wings.

18 Hooters locations in Southern California, Washington & Oregon are sending their Hooters Girls to compete in the swimsuit contest semi-finals at V20 Nightclub in Long Beach on May 13th.

They invite the community to come out and support their favorite local Hooters Girl.

Over 40 Hooters Girls will be competing in the contest in hopes of advancing to the 13th Annual Hooters International Pageant.

The top Hooters Girls will head Hollywood, Florida to compete in the Pageant on June 20th.

Over 130 Hooters Girls from China to Cincinnati will be competing for the Miss Hooters International title.

There is good reason too, with over $150,000 in cash and prizes, a feature in Hooters Magazine, Hooters Calendar and star in national TV commercials.

"The swimsuit semi-final is one of the largest events we host regionally," said Rick Leukert, VP of Operations.

"It is always exciting to see what Hooters Girls will be representing the Southern California, Washington & Oregon at the International Pageant and is a great opportunity for our guests to cheer on their favorite Hooters Girls."

The contest will begin at 10:00 p.m. at the V20 Nightclub in Long Beach at 81 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, California.

The human body is beautiful, using womens body's to sell products including booze and newspapers is not. With all due respect to you HR, I call your rationalization BS.

GP: Do believe one shows respect for women in many ways, but for me, as well as for most men and many women, the beautiful human body is something one can appreciate openly and honestly with no disrespect involved for either one. Did NOT take me 91 years to learn that either... With all due respect to you, friend gp, I think the story builds that attitude rather than displays any possible disrespect.

surely at my age (62) I am allowed to say this is demeaning to women to have soft porn is a daily newspaper. I used to get mad at the Oregonian, when I read it because the only photos of women were usually page three or the back of the front section with the lingerie ads. Oh sometimes there was the odd rape or abuse victim too. I know your appeal here is to GI's S-N but since you have been doing ptsd stories you must know of the link between it and violence towards women and the link between alcohol and violence towards women. Do you want to have women feel comfortable reading your news service? If so, take your hooters to another place and give us women some respect. We have been trying to get you guys to rein in your hormones at least in front of the children and grandmothers and sheep for a long time. Insulted.
