(BETHLEHEM) - Fact: 7 million Palestinians are refugees or displaced people and those who remain in Palestine are in shrinking "people warehouses" You are invited to join important events held around the world for week of the ongoing Nakba (catastrophe of dispossession and ethnic cleansing). Here in the Bethlehem area, we face increased colonial activity which we resist by nonviolent methods. Friday 10 May 2013 beginning after Friday prayers (12:30-1 PM) Al-Walaja village [1] Sunday 12 May 2013 at 10 AM, Ush Ghrab, Beit Sahour [2] Tuesday 14 May 2013 beginning at 11 AM gather in Dheisheh Refugee Camp [1] Popular Committee to resist the wall and settlements in Al-walaja and the people of Al-Walaja invite you to join in a march to resist the growing colonial settlements and wall on the village land. We will gather in front of Al-Nour mosque in Ain Joezeh area of town after Friday prayers and move in the direction of Cremisan where the occupation forces just erected a “gate” intended to isolate the town from the rest of Bethlehem and make it an open air prison. Together we can stand up to these racist and unjust policies. [2] From the popular committee, national forces, institutions, and people of conscience in Beit Sahour: A meeting was held to discuss the permission given by Israeli commander Col. Yaniv Alalouf for racist settlers to have “presence” and their actual visit when they painted old Jordanian army buildings in the area of Ush Ghrab. All those in attendance representing nationalist forces and town institutions agreed that we categorically reject any Israeli presence under any excuse including the so called “rallies” or “education” (excuses for settlement activities that are illegal per international law). We warn that we will take strong measures immediately if and when the next gang of colonial settlers try to come to the land of Ush Ghrab. We will post this message on Ush Ghrab on Sunday 12 May 2013 at 10 AM and you are invited to join us fr a peaceful rally.
