Cornell Students Cite Trayvon Martin, Throw Bottles at Black Students

(SYRACUSE, NY) - A group of students at Cornell University have been accused of racism, when it was reported that they were throwing bottles at black students while referencing the Trayvon Martin shooting. The Cornell Sun is reporting that members of the Sigma Pi fraternity house were throwing the objects at black students early Sunday morning.

Sigma Pi President Zach Smith said that the fraternity has “figured out who the perpetrator was, and will turn his name over to police.”

Smith also claims that the person responsible was not a member of the fraternity.

Cornell University Police Chief Kathy Zoner has confirmed the reports of racial references at the time of the incident. She said that Ithaca police have been called in to investigate.

Beverly Fonko said that she was walking home with one of her friends when she saw objects being thrown from the roof. She claims that when the fraternity members were asked to stop, they continued to throw things, including a bottle of Jack Daniels and a can full of beer.

Fonkwo says that the students told her to “‘Come up here, Trayvon,’ and started making all these other racial comments,” Fonkwo said.

“I feel like it was targeted and racially motivated … we felt very threatened.”

Sade Samakinwa, another student who witnessed the event, said that they were frightened after the incident took place.

“I think the most shocking thing was not that bottles were being thrown but that they were shouting Trayvon,” Samakinwa said. “To use that boy’s name so disrespectfully while disrespecting someone is absolutely insane.”

I told ya, I told ya. Who caused this incident will go back and forth forever, and as mentioned, whites kill whites, blacks kills blacks, brown kills black etc etc. What my main concern was, starting a race war, because I could see obama and the mainstream media promoting it. I did my best to blog it everywhere, but it seems few listened. Ya'all are falling right into the trap set for ya. The dollar is about to collapse, unemployment is 45%, the police state is in full force, fast and furious, NDAA, the new government documents on "re-education camps", foreign military practicing on U.S. soil, etc etc, but what is obama and the mainstream media focusing on? gay marriage. who gives a crud about friggin gay marriage when the entire country is falling apart. So, get the people fighting about trevon and gay marriage. This is an age old tactic, and more people would know about it if our education system was education instead of indoctrination, and our media would actually be journalists instead of corporate/wall street/D.C. whores.

Why is it that every time a black person gets assaulted in any way it makes the front page. And off course everyone scream "hate crime". But when white people get assaulted by back people, no one talks about it and it won't be a hate crime. Why is that? Since the Martin case many white people were assaulted and you sure did not read it in your home town paper including Salemnews.com. Please give me an explanation so I can understand the thinking of a Liberal. Thank you

So where are the dozens of recent stories of blacks, including black mobs, attacking, even killing whites while referencing Trayvon Martin? In Virginia two reporters were attacked by a black mob and hospitalized. A later investigation interviewing blacks, they stated it was payback(?) for the Martin dude. Plenty of video of these acts on some networks and other responsible sites who realize the primary job of journalists is to report the news, not just report what they prefer, or fits into their misguided ideology. This summer we will see some serious self-defense take place. If you have time read Watkins dissertation...whew!
