(SALEM) - Several Salem Fire units responded to a report of an overturned car today just before 5:00 PM. Salem Fire Spokesman Bill Holmstrom says crews arrived on the scene to find a person trapped in the aftermath of a motor vehicle accident at Commercial Street and Fabry Street SE. "Witnesses stated the 42-year old female was traveling south on commercial in her Kia when she veered off the road and crashed alongside some large boulders." Holmstrom says firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to able to remove the patient from the vehicle. She was transported in fair condition to Salem Hospital. Salem Police are investigating the cause of the accident. A bit premature to call the driver a patient. Maybe I just need be more patient with bad writing.

I was at the scene of this accident within a minute or two of it happening - the car did not overturn as stated in this article. I hope the driver is OK.
