(JEFFERSON, Ore.) - UPDATE: Police say Lori Lee Smith was located Saturday evening by an Officer with the Albany Police Department. She was in good condition and told the Officer that she left Jefferson voluntarily. She was asked to contact her family, but she didn't wish to have further contact with them at this time. Family members were contacted and updated by deputies. Original REPORT: The Marion County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in finding a woman missing since Wednesday from her hometown of Jefferson, Oregon. 42-year old Lori Lee Smith was last seen around 6:30 p.m. at Tommy's Welcome Inn in Jefferson. Ms. Smith is described as white, 5-7, 170, with wavy dirty-blond hair and hazel eyes. She usually wears her hair pulled back. She was last seen wearing a grey "hoodie" and jeans. She is not known to drive a vehicle or use public transportation. Smith is not currently employed, and contacts with her friends have yielded no leads as to her whereabouts. Her family said it is very unusual that she would not return home to care for her 11 and 12-year old daughters. Smith was staying at an older daughter's home on South 6th Street in Jefferson. The older daughter last saw her mother around 4:30pm, Wednesday, when she went to give her a ride home from Tommy's. Smith told her she was going to stay a little longer, then walk the 6 blocks to her home. It was not unusual for her to walk home. The daughter later contacted the bar and learned Smith left around 6:30 p.m., alone. Deputies Lance Weitman and Matthew Hagan retraced many of the routes Smith would have taken to walk home but found nothing. Family members have also searched the area, with negative results. Anyone with information about Lori Lee Smith can contact the Sheriff's Office at 503.588.5032 or our Anonymous Tip Line at 503.540.8079. Refer to Case #: 11004629.
