(SALEM, Ore.) - A friend sent this clip of an adorable little girl in France telling a fairy tale that she seemed to make up on the fly; we don't know how old she is but the words are translated in English and it is highly remarkable. That same friend that sent the clip reminded us that we have to slow down sometimes and lighten up; in spite of the condition of this world. It is hard, it seems the pressure is always on to get the word out when news breaks and the importance of that is in no way diminished. But to remember the adorable and whimsical and clever; this is important and it helps our psyches stay on track, or so it would seem, so we would hope. So, prepare for a lot of big smiles as this young lass takes you on a journey where Whinny the Pooh and Tigger meet baby monkeys, bats, crocodiles, hippos, a giraffe, all on a train ride "when they say saw frogs!" Her eyes get big when she says, "The popotomus, they were in some frightening trees!" "Popotomus" - I absolutely love it. As it turns out, "The witch girl didn't want Winnie the Pooh and Tigger to take her strawberries!" Our favorite part is the girl's reference to; "flowers, the sun, clouds, all of the beautiful things". There is a reason to have hope for the future, this video is proof of that. How could you not fall in love with this little angel. To be witness to the open mind and heart of such an innocent child gives one reason to hope for a brighter future. Notice her mention of the "Poor" animals. Even at such a tender age, her heart goes out to the less fortunate. I believe that we are all born with that sort of "original" tenderness. Hatred and fear are taught. Sadly, in too many cases, they replace the hope, love, and tenderness we are born with. How can we reverse that trend? Please God let us find a way!
