SEDCOR Speedway 2008

The 2008 Gala was a special evening in support of economic development in the Mid-Willamette Valley.

(SALEM, Ore.) - SEDCOR held their Annual Gala Friday night at the Oregon Pavilion. This year NASCAR racing was the theme and over 650 members were in attendance. The evenings festivities included business show tables, dinner, entertainment complete with a casino, and the raffle drawing for a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. Capital Auto Group and Oregon Community Credit Union were the Title Sponsors.

Five raffle prizes were awarded throughout the evening. The Grand Prize winners Bruce Carroll, PGE and Steve Reiser, Specialty Polymers split a cash prize, instead of going for the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette. A complete list of Speedway sponsors is located on the SEDCOR website.

The 2008 Gala was a special evening in support of economic development in the Mid-Willamette Valley. The efforts of many people and sponsorships by many businesses resulted in an incredible event, and we are would like to thank everyone for all the contributions. The Gala Committee did an incredible job in turning the 28,000 sq. ft. Pavilion into a raceway complete with infield, track, pit stops, and member banners that circled the track’s parameter. Congratulations to the Winners of the Lap Prizes and Grand Prize:

  • Lap 100 – (2) Tickets to the Portland Intl Raceway - Courtesy of Jones Oil Company Winner: Vince Ventura
  • Lap 250 - Set of (4) Tires or Wheels - Courtesy of Les Schwab Tires - Winner: Tony Perez
  • Lap 350 - 2008 Cargo Mate Cargo Trailer - Courtesy of Forest River, Inc. - Winner: Vince Ventura
  • Lap 500 - 2008 Spirit Spa - Courtesy of Marquis Spa - Winner: Bill Nymeyer
  • Finish Line Grand Prize - Cash or Car - $20,000 each awarded to the final two contestants who selected Cash instead of going for the 2008 Chevy Corvette
  • Winners: Bruce Carroll - PGE and Steve Reiser - Specialty Polymers

SEDCOR, is a private, non-profit membership organization, composed of over 500 business and community leaders. SEDCOR’s mission is to enhance and diversify the economy of the Mid-Willamette Valley by supporting and enhancing the performance of existing businesses and recruiting new businesses.
