(SALEM, Ore.) - Marion County Deputies traced a fluid leak from a stolen car back to a home on Lancaster Dr. where they served a search warrant at about 11:30 this morning. Marion County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Kevin Rau says police received a call just before 5:00 AM this morning from Brian Butler, a Prostar Security officer, who contacted the Sheriff's Office to report a suspicious car parked in the driveway of the Rockwood Park Apartments on Rockwood Park Pl NE in Salem. Rau says deputies arriving in the scene found that a fluid had leaked from the car. They traced a trail of the fluid to a home approximately two hundred yards away at 3665 Lancaster Dr NE. Attempts were made to make contact at the Lancaster Dr home according to Rau, without success. "As it was evident that there were people in the home that were simply not responding to knocks on the door, Deputies set up a perimeter and obtained a search warrant to search the home. At about 11:30 this morning the Deputies searved the warrant and found two people inside." They were identified as 29-year-old Crystal Marie Williams and 20-year-old Joseph Hiraoka. Neither lives at the home but they were staying there. A search of the home resulted in the recovery of items that were from the black 1992 Toyota Camry registered to Rosa Arciniega, of Salem, which had been reported stolen on Thursday, March 15th to Salem Police. Deputies also found several vehicle parts and other items in the home. No arrests have been made in this case but the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Deputy Starla Green at 503-588-5032.
