UPDATE: Portland Police Seeking Public's Help Locating a Wanted Sex Offender

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000.

50-year-old Lawrence David Hendon is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, 160 pounds, gray & brown hair, and hazel-colored eyes.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Hendon has been located by law enforcement in Apache Junction, Arizona, but his warrant is non-extraditable from Arizona.

Due to this new information, the Portland Police Bureau is no longer looking for him.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted sex offender.

50-year-old Lawrence David Hendon is described as a white male, 5'9" tall, 160 pounds, gray & brown hair, and hazel-colored eyes.

The photo being released is from July 2012.

Hendon has a felony Parole Violation warrant issued by the Oregon State Parole Board on an original charge of Sex Abuse in the First Degree.

Hendon is known to frequent North Portland. Hendon was released from prison on January 4, 2013 but has failed to check in with his parole officer and has not registered as a sex offender.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
