(SALEM) - The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Willamette Valley, northwest Oregon, and southwest Washington for Monday through 7:00 PM Tuesday. High temperatures in much of the inland valleys of northwest Oregon will be over 100 degrees, and record high temperatures will be threatened in many locations. Cooler temperatures are in store for Tuesday and the remainder of the week, although highs are expected to remain above seasonal normals. Remember to drink plenty of fluids and take frequent breaks from the heat to avoid dehydration and possible heat or sun stroke. Also try to stay in an air conditioned environment. Check out the Salem-News.com 7-day forecast for more complete details on temperature expectations.
