Jun-25-2012 23:59TweetFollow @OregonNews Steve Emerson was Never an AIPAC StafferClarification by Tim King Salem-News.comEmerson is the author or co-author of six books on terrorism and national security.
(SALEM / NEW YORK) - Steve Emerson is considered one of the leading authorities on Islamic extremist networks, financing and operations, his biography notes. An article recently carried by Salem-News.com, New Jersey's 9th CD Voters Say No to AIPAC, incorrectly asserted that Steve Emerson was a staff member with AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) - the most powerful lobby for the Zionist government of Israel in the United States. Mr. Emerson's attorney, Richard Horowitz in New York City, wrote, "Note that Mr. Emerson was never an employee, intern, etc., at AIPAC". Steve Emerson serves as the Executive Director of The Investigative Project on Terrorism, which is described in his bio as 'one of the world's largest storehouses of archival data and intelligence on Islamic and Middle Eastern terrorist groups'. Also according to information provided by Mr. Emerson's team:
We apologize for our earlier article connecting Mr. Emerson to the controversial AIPAC, which lobbies on behalf of Israel, an apartheid government that maintains a separate set of laws to govern Jews, and a set for all who are not Jewish. Additionally, Israel maintains 'Jewish only' roads that Muslims and Christians are strictly forbidden from using. With AIPAC at its side, Israel has been called out over war crime allegations twice in very recent years, and ultimately depends on the United States' 'Super Veto Power' in the United Nations to shield itself from war crimes that no other government would ever be allowed to abscond over. Salem-News.com apologizes to Mr. Steve Emerson for our error. ______________________________
