(SALEM) - South Salem residents who like fresh vegetables and fresh air have a new way to spend their Friday summer afternoons.

The South Salem Farmer's Market is in its third week, and runs Fridays from 2:00 PM till 8:00 PM. It is located at Salem Heights Hall on Liberty near the cross street of Madronna.

Carl E McClellan runs a business out of South Salem called Mr TieDye. His tyedie 't'-shirt business is a big hit at the Wednesday Farmer's Market in downtown Salem, and a good example of the variety of products that go well beyond the traditional farmer's fare.

Make no mistake though, lots and lots of vegies, fruits, flowers and plants are there, as well as food and other refreshments.

The person responsible for putting it together is Barry Nanneman. He and the other organizers say there are more vendor spaces available. They want to get the word out that a new experience awaits outdoor shoppers in Salem and the Mid-Willamette Valley.

I know this is an old article, but I am wondering how to contact the organizer of the South Salem Farmers' Market? Thanks!
