Polk County Road Work to Slow Commuters on Hwy. 223

(DALLAS, Ore. ) - The Polk County Department of Public Works wants you to Be Aware! of an upcoming road construction projects that could delay your commute.

On Wednesday, work will take place on Fir Villa Road and Oak Villa Road at the intersection with Highway 223. There will be traffic delays while the work is completed from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Motorist should expect delays of 20 minutes or more, or plan ahead and use an alternate route.

Also on Wednesday, crews will be doing road work and overlay paving on Grice Hill Drive, and Colorado Drive from 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Remember to slow down when you see orange signs, barrels and barricades. Speeding is the second most common cause of work zone crashes.
