Salem TV Show Interview with Tim King from Salem-News.comSalem-News.com
Hosts of 'The Word' on CCTV talk to Tim about news and political views.
(SALEM) - Agron Belica located this clip today on YouTube, of Tim King's recent appearance on a local Salem, Oregon TV show.
The television show is called 'The Word', the hosts asked Tim, who started Salem-News.com almost eight years ago, to explain what the news group does and what our general angle was in approaching the news.
That is a big set of questions for a six minute interview, but Tim uses the time well and addresses the ongoing Human Rights coverage that defines Salem-News in many ways.
Tim talked about the ongoing coverage of former prison guard William Coleman who battled racism as a whistleblower and continues that fight today.
The interview shifts to explore one of the most critical subjects to Americans: military conflicts overseas that affect people here from every walk of life and nearly every family. Tim has covered both the Iraq and Afghan wars and explains to the show's hosts, the importance of getting information from the scene of these events, rather than relying on the wisdom of network news anchors and their producers.
These groups, unlike Salem-News.com, are dependent on advertising to the point that they are compromised. Tim says he is trying to forge new media without that dependence factor.
