(SALEM, Ore.) - Members of the Salem Police Street Crimes Unit and the Drug Activity Response Team say they seized 3.64 pounds of methamphetamine from a West Salem apartment and arrested 4 adults on Friday evening, June 8th. Police Spokesman Lt. Bill Kohlmeyer says this information was not released earlier because investigators were following additional leads and felt releasing the information may jeopardize those leads. According to Kohlmeyer, officers acting on information of possible drug activity made contact at 193 Rosewood Dr. NW Apt #3. He says Jesus Torres Munguia gave them consent to search the apartment and officers found, drugs and packaging material and $1,525 in cash. "Over three pounds of crystal meth, scales, a firearm, packaging, and a twenty pound bucket of MSM were located. The MSM is used to cut or thin the methamphetamine to basically make the packages bigger. The street value of the methamphetamine is approx. $87,500.00."
29-year old Maria G Garcia Montlongo, of the same address was arrested for the same charges. 32-year old Adalid Gutierrez Mendoza of 275 29th Avenue Longview, Washington was arrested for the same charges. 24-year old Andres Cervantes Murillo, Andres of 3310 Felina Ave NE Apt 163 in Salem was arrested for the same charges.
