Video News Classes Will be Offered

Contact Salem-News.com for more details

(SALEM) - All the news experience in the world does not prepare a print journalist for the complicated transition into the world of electronic video, yet that need is rising as the print industry increasingly moves toward video storytelling.

Newspaper journalists and photojournalists may be among the nation's most talented storytellers, but their experience didn't teach them how to operate a video camera, edit a non-linear video clip, or write for broadcast.

Newspapers preparing for the inevitable transition into the video world are seeking answers and Salem-News.com is here to provide them.

Founder Tim King is an award-winning photojournalist/reporter who has nearly 20-years of experience in the news industry, with substantial years in radio and television and even a stint at an Oregon newspaper in the 1990's for perspective. More importantly, Tim is one of the new breed of journalists who already have switched from the evening news to the Internet.

Classes will be held in Oregon or other locations. Write to our newsroom for more information and rates: newsroom@salem-news.com

It is not necessary to be an established news photographer or reporter to attend the classes, but students who have no background in news of any kind will be trained in a separate program.
