Police Seek Suspect in West Salem Bank Robbery

Witnesses say the man has a tattoo of a dragon on his upper right arm and a wolf with a dream catcher on his upper left arm.

(WEST SALEM, Ore.) - Police investigators say the Maps Credit Union at 476 Glen Creek Rd NW was robbed at 5:57 PM on Friday.

Salem Police Lt. Chuck Bennett says that at this point, it is unknown if the suspect is armed. The suspect is reported to have left the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is a white male in his 50's according to Bennett, he is six feet tall, with a reported weight of 200 pounds. He is described as having short gray hair, an unshaven face, and he was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, gray tank top, and shorts.

Witnesses say he has a tattoo of a dragon on his upper right arm and a wolf with a dream catcher on his upper left arm. Anyone who has information on this should contact Lt. Chuck Bennett with Salem Police at 503 588-6230.
