(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - The victim assaulted earlier this morning on SE 82nd Avenue, in Clackamas County, has now been identified as 29-year old Bobby Lee Burns, described as a Native American, formerly of North Portland, now residing in the Clackamas area. It is revealed Bobby Burns is presently being treated at a local Portland hospital, and anticipated to be in surgery for at least six hours. He remains in critical condition. Investigators say that at approximately 2:30 AM, Bobby Burns was discovered in the Winco Parking lot, on SE 82nd Avenue, with a severe head injury. The injuries Bobby Burns received to his head during this assault are referred to as devastating -- with a large quantity of the victims blood observed at the crime scene. The suspect in this on going criminal investigation is described as: a light skinned, Hispanic, male, adult, estimated to be 25 years of age, 5'06", 150 lbs, balding, with a goatee and extensive tattooing on both forearms. This suspect was last observed fleeing on foot southbound on SE 82nd Avenue, near SE Causey and the Ross Store. Please refer to the attached forensic sketch of the described suspect prepared by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, forensic sketch artist Joyce Nagy. This sketch was prepared and provided with the cooperation of a witness. A Crime Stoppers reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this described assault suspect.
