(SALEM, Ore. ) - From free camping and fishing, to an event celebrating the Salem Riverfront Carousel’s 13th Anniversary, or come out and salute our troops during the Oregon Army National Guard 234th Mobilization Ceremony, to Marion County Pet Amnesty Day, and even the Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade in Portland. There is something for everyone this weekend. SALEM: Oregon State Capitol: The Oregon World War II Memorial public dedication ceremony on the grounds of the State Capitol in Salem. 1:30 p.m. on Friday, which coincides with the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Oregon State Fair Pavilion: Friday: McNary High School Graduation -- Starts at 5:00 p.m. McKay High School Graduation -- Starts at 8:00 p.m. Saturday: Oregon Army National Guard 234th Mobilization Ceremony -- The ceremony begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Salem Armory Auditorium, located at 2310 17th Street NE. Salem's Riverfront Carousel’s 13th Anniversary Celebration: Free activities. Come out and help celebrate our 13th anniversary of being open to the public. Enjoy $1 rides all day, birthday singing and cake at noon (cake while supplies last), face painting and chalk art activity. Noon to 3:00 p.m. Salem Public Market -- Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Located at 1240 Rural Ave. SE. Ankeny Vineyard Weekend Wine Down Starts. Weekend Wine Down every Fri. & Sat. 1:00-8:00 p.m., Sun. Noon-5:00 p.m. $5 wine tasting fee. Wood-fired pizza, appetizers, salads and desserts available for purchase; wine-tasting or wine by bottle or glass. Live music on Saturdays 5:00-7:00 p.m. We are child & dog friendly, bring the whole family. Pentacle Theatre: “To Kill a Mockingbird” Friday and Saturday shows starts at 7:30 p.m. Sunday: 2:00 p.m. Live Improv Comedy: Capitol City Theater. Tickets: $8 online or $12 at the door. www.capitolcitytheater.com MARION COUNTY: The Jefferson Volunteer Fire Association along with Marion County Dog Services will be hosting a Pet Amnesty Day on Saturday at the Jefferson Fire Station. The Jefferson Fire Station is located at 189 N. Main St. OREGON: Free Camping at state parks Saturday night. Free Fishing, Crabbing, and Clamming Saturday and Sunday Free Day Use parking at the 26 day-use fee parks. Portland: Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fleet Week: Navy and Coast Guard ships will dock at Portland's Waterfront Park, opening up their vessels for free public tours.
