Activist James Morris Confronts John McCain for Ignoring Israeli Attack of USS LibertyTim King Salem-News.com
Many call him the Manchurian Candidate; at any rate McCain is a sellout to his fellow sailors...
(SALEM) - Memories of the deadly and intense 1967 Israeli attack on the American Navy ship, U.S.S. Liberty, will never go away, regardless of how much politicians attempt to ignore it.
Logically, one might assume that U.S. Senator John McCain would be a proponent of this movement for accountability, as a former U.S. Naval officer. No dice though. He is a supporter of Israel, an apartheid government gulity of years of war crimes against a mostly disarmed civilian population.
There is little I enjoy more, than knowing that one of our friends was able to humiliate a dirty public official.
In recent weeks our dear friend Dr. Frank Romano totally disrespected a top official in the Palestinian Authority for failing to address the ongoing hunger strikes in Occupied Palestine; our writer Jennifer Fierberg sat directly across from Rwanda President Paul Kagame during a recent US visit, making his supporters more than nervous, and now we get to show our good friend James Morris in Los Angeles, giving the one-two to John McCain for having ignored the U.S.S. Liberty issue.
And McCain considers himself a patriot...
Wearing a POW/MIA shirt under his sport jacket and bearing it for all to see after calling McCain out, officials with the event quickly rushed our friend out of the area, but not before he made his point. Nobody like McCain should have a license to speak publicly without answering to the public. If he wants to dance, he can't always expect to lead.
Salem-News.com remains committed to the idea that any act of aggression against the United States must be dealt with in open channels, not swept under the rug. We appreciate James Morris, Phil Tourney, Mark Glenn and so many others who will never let this story disappear.
