Glenn Beck Promotes Freedom of Palestine - Cites Israel's Human Rights Abuse

Beck promotes new 'Free Palestine' video; discusses "End of Israel".

Beckestine
'Beckestine' by Tim King

(SALEM, Ore.) - Glenn Beck is promoting the new song, Freedom for Palestine before it has even been released. The song by a gathering of artists, in Beck's words, "Calls for the West Bank security barrier to be toppled, it calls for human rights and justice for all." The talk show host added that the song is, "truly amazing".

Beck says the song is composed by a church choir. It calls to light Israel's Genocidal regard for the native Palestinian population which has been increasingly displaced in a Diaspora that began in 1948, during what Palestinians describe as 'The Nakba' which means catastrophe.

Beck says it illustrates Israel's "Human rights abuse". The new song illustrates how due to Israeli Zionist policy, Palestinians are, in Beck's words, "living in crushing poverty in refugee camps and living under Israeli occupation." He forgot to reference the fact that Israel is bogged down with apartheid laws that resemble policies that South Africa maintained in recent years.

According to Beck, most of today's artists are tossing their support behind Palestine, "I thought to myself, we are behind the curve here on the Israel front I honestly thought we were ahead of the curve but we are not."

Surprisingly, Beck also offered these words, "This is about the end of Israel and they are packaging it in a way that everybody can embrace." Pretty harsh Glenn.

But this political firebrand said there is good news, "Some major people that don't have anything in common for me and in fact hate my political views, are standing up." He said one of his staff members made this statement about Beck's new friends in this Israeli/Palestine struggle: "Glenn, they have bashed you for over two years." To this Beck replied, "It's not about me or anything else, its about being a shield.

Is that right out of the Crusades or what!

(All Beck quotes are verbatim, beyond that I plead the fifth)

Editor, you are indeed right, I should have put the real number of Muslims surrounding Israel, instead of being deliberately overboard on the number, and of course population counts are very inaccurate but some say that the Muslim population in Middle East including North Africa is around 315 millions some say about 278553314 million, and one to two million Muslims live in Israel.. there are about 5 million Jews living in Israel.. bit of a difference eh..

And yes, I have also read that the attacks on the Liberty was deliberate, and that Israel attacked because Israeli authorities believed that USS Liberty was relaying Israeli war plans to Egypt in order to assure the destruction of the Jewish State. Under the circumstances of what Jews had been through and knowing that no one wanted them, it is understandable that they were perhaps paranoid.

I do not believe that Israel likes to kill people but like any other race there are of course baddies' amongst them. How foolish they would be to be the cause of issues, they are outnumbered by far both from the Middle east and America.. so as I said, they would have to be mad to want to cause trouble.. they are only a few in number the same number as is in NZ where we came from... not enough people to cause a war against ourselves that is for sure..

Editor, I am not locked in bigot patterns, I am just sick of one sided arguments, nothing much is reported about the daily rockets fired into Israel and those killed or hurt or the help that Israel gives to even those who are trying to kill them.

Editor: Well perceptions are hard to get around, and the reality is that just a small number of Israelis have been killed in recent years.  This rocket attack thing, as I said before all loss of life is bad, I do not lament the loss of one class of human beings over another.  I understand that in your case, like in mine, and the Palestinians, that we do not choose where we are born, and we can't be faulted for a sense of pride, I suppose, but we have to separate fact from fiction.  I sense a strong sense of humanity in your words, please just follow what you know is right.

Editor, Sly dog you, correct no "Muslim" nation attacked a US Naval Ship,... BUT a Nation of "Muslims" did! Remember Iraq in 1987, the USS Stark where 37 sailors lost their lives? No?

One has to be suspicious that this above is not showing Glenn Beck on utube saying that he promotes Freedom of Palestine. This to me looks like it is just what someone has written, how do we know that Glenn really said that.. Margie, You said that Iran was not at war with America.. Is it possible that you don't read the news??? or were not old enough to know of what they have done... Five Iranian companies in Afghanistan are paying Taliban militants over $200 per month with bonuses of $1,000 for killing an American soldier and $6,000 for destroying a U.S. military vehicle. Most shockingly, the Iranian companies fund the Taliban using foreign aid. Since 1979 when they made a formal declaration of war against the United States. They’ve been conducting the war virtually unopposed the whole time. While the U.S. stands holding its hands over its ears and screaming “LA LA LA LA,” the Islamo-nutballs have been waging Jihads and civil wars for the past 20 years. You also said... PEOPLE, it’s happening again. This time we cannot say we didn’t know. and you are dead right, the lies that are being told about Israel is exactly the same lies that Hitler did to make the people hate the Jews back then.. I repeat: Iran has been at war with the United States since the inception of the Islamic revolution in 1979. Defying all international laws, Iran seized American diplomats and held them hostage for 444 days, waiting for the inauguration of President Reagan before releasing them. One of the “students” who participated in that outrage was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the current president of Iran. This is a nation that has embraced taking hostages, political assassinations, suicide bombings that killed American Marines in Beirut and, later, the bombing the Khobar Towers in eastern Saudi Arabia. In the wake of 9/11, Iran provided sanctuary to al Qaeda leaders fleeing U.S. forces. Iran has long been one of the leading state sponsors of terrorism worldwide.

Margie Corval June 5 you wrote that all this is the fault of Israel..
Margie, this country is so tiny and is surrounded by trillions (Editor: Trillions?  Very interesting figure.  There are not trillions of anything friend unless you are talking about the US foreign debt) of Muslims who want them dead so why do you think that they would be stupid enough to upset those around them unless it was just to protect themselves from the daily rockets sent into their country..

Editor: Well isn't that the question of the day.  I know several men who were aboard the Liberty.  Let's set the record straight, the American flags were flying brightly and the Israeli pilots and planes knew exactly who they were attacking.  Israel likes to kill people, it likes to teach lessons but we Americans are very, very slow.

And yes on June 6 1967 Israel did attack an American ship. But you conveniently omit to say that Both the Israeli and U.S. governments conducted inquiries and issued reports that concluded the attack was a mistake due to Israeli confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty.. And that in May 1968, the Israeli government paid US$3,323,500 as full payment to the families of the 34 men killed in the attack. In March 1969, Israel paid a further $3,566,457 in compensation to the men who had been wounded. On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the U.S. claim of $7,644,146 for material damage to the Liberty itself.. Tell us of any Muslim nation who has done that, in fact not many nations have ever done that..

Editor: No Muslim nation has ever attacked the US in this way.  The terrorist attack of the Marine barracks (those were my Marine brothers) is about the worst.  The 911 attacks only served the needs of Israel, they sure didn't serve American needs.  And let's not forget that even if those Arabs were aboard the planes, they were Saudi and Saudi Arabia is an ally of the U.S. and Israel.  Gaye, it is sad when people like yourself are locked in bigoted patterns, it must be hard to pull yourself out.  There is no one group that is better than another, and we can only judge the worst by the most killed, and in that respect Israel is the worst war crime offending nation on the planet, next to the U.S. of course if you consider that abomination called the Iraq war.

'Sunday Times' reports Israeli commandos on the ships may have conducted reconnaissance missions against Iran’s nuclear sites.

Ships owned by the Ofer brothers that docked in Iran may have carried Israel Air Force Blackhawk helicopters, which were used by commando units, the Sunday

Times reported.

The paper claimed in the Sunday report that the helicopters were concealed in special containers for infiltration into Iran.

When the Israelis hit Iran (and they will) it will be in a manner totally unanticipated and most likely completely devasting to their nuclear program.

Stuxnet was just a warm up. When they hit, it will be with iron, might and cunning and the Iranians will never see it coming. I SUPPORT ISRAEL and have changed

my alumni user name until August, in support of Glenn Beck’s Restoring Courage rally in Israel

PEOPLE, it’s happening again. This time we cannot say we didn’t know.

Tim King: He's a pathetic warmonger like the Israeli government and your hero is trying to end this otherwise beautiful planet that we humans inhabit.  The Israelis are not entitled to control or hurt anyone and the Jewish faith was never intended to be a warring violent government, that is not what God intended.  Iran has never done anything to kill Americans, but the Israelis attacked the USS Liberty after WWII leaving many dead.  Israel is an offender of the international atomic weapons laws with its US supplied nuclear weapons pointed at its enemies (those who dared to disagree with the propriety of Israel stealing he land it squats on.  So root for Israel, or root for the devil, whatever Margie, it would also help to engage your moral compass but then that wouldn't benefit Israel would it?

Rshackleford June 5, 2011 8:34 am (Pacific time)

This article would be more appropriate for The Onion. If you don't like what the man has to say, prove him wrong. You are a disgrace to your profession and a detriment to your cause.

Tim King: I'm laughing and laughing.  Hey, at least to a handful of people I made this moron look like he had a heart...

Colli: Our first love spat. :-) I have had this conversation with my brother for almost 2 years, and have even heard Alex Jones say maybe there is some redemption with Glen, talking abut the fed res bank etc. But in my opinion, beck is the most dangerous of all out there. A trojan horse. Tim: go ahead and post the article (good article by the way), but be aware, beck will stab you in the back the second your back is turned. Guaranteed. Be careful. He is a snake oil salesman of the worst kind, and one of the best I have ever encountered. And Colli, the only reason beck has put out so much truth, is because his audience was dwindling to nothing and going to alex jones...Every show I watch of beck, is a rerun from Alex Jones anywhere from a week before, to months before. But then he spins it, and spins it good. I still support Tim's article 100%, I am just saying, be aware of beck, he is dangerous.

Mitch June 5, 2011 5:50 am (Pacific time)

Tim king is obviously envious of Beck.

Tim King: Yeah that has to be it.  I am a real Beck wannabe, you can tell my my writing...

Becky G June 4, 2011 7:57 pm (Pacific time)

Wow, and you call yourself a journalist?  This was written in a very deceitful way in order to portray his words in a different context.  As a "professional journalist" (sarc), you should know that context is important.

Tim King: I know.  However I in no way take this man seriously, so since he rambles so much hate, I couldn't resist.

RParrish June 4, 2011 12:14 pm (Pacific time)

Actually Glen said the exact opposite on both his Radio program and on fox News this last Thursday. He used the words you wrote but not in this context.

RParrish

Editor: This is certainly true, in fact this article is simply a manifestation of Beck's fear that going on and on about a particular item he disagrees with is indeed promotion at the end of the day.  I just made sure that aspect of Mr. Beck was fulfilled.  No, in reality Mr. Beck is in no way a supporter of Palestinian freedom, in fact he is totally against it.  However each of his words in this article is verbatim, he took the time to say all of these things.

bluto 842 June 4, 2011 9:30 am (Pacific time)

Deceit is your middle name.

Lies and out of context and you know it.

His message is 180 degrees from your misrepresentation.

As Rush Limbaugh has said for years. "Liberals Lie".

Editor: That was funny, mission accomplished.  At least a couple of people will think your Beck guy is sane for a minute, isn't that good?

Jay June 4, 2011 8:17 am (Pacific time)

I saw the broadcast you are refering to, Glenn Beck did not promote said music video in a positive manner, that being said any publicity is good publicity.I grew up in apartheid South Africa and I can assure you that the only similar states in the Middle east are countries like Saudi Arabia Where people of all creeds except Islam are forbidden to live on a permanent basis,Jordan, where Jews are forbidden to live and the palestinian state where it will be Juderein. Israel bears no resemblance to apartheid South Africa and I should know I lived in South Africa for 40 years and now live in Israel people should really get their facts straight before they open their mouths and spew garbage.

Editor: Well maybe you should get your mind on straight Jay, we have a part time writer who is Jewish and grew up in S. Africa and he (Adrian DeVilliers) says it is very much the same, and anyone can read and discover this correlation.  You can not state mistruths here without being drug onto the rug friend.  Israel maintains separate laws for Jews and non-Jews, there are different roads (I know you know this to be the case, perhaps you just aren't honest- no surprise as we are littered with comments all day from people in Israel, so we aren't shocked or anything.  Yes, Beck is a thousand percent against the freedom of Palestinians, it seems obvious that you are too.  And for the record, I am as against Saudi Arabia's treatment of Jews, hardcore, it is wrong, but then those in the know are aware that SA is one of the biggest problems in the whole mix.

Colli June 4, 2011 2:44 am (Pacific time)

Regardless of whether you agree with Glenn Becks political views or not, he has been right more often then wrong and in my opinion, he does make an honest effort to speak what he believes to be true. No one is perfect but everything else aside, he appears to be a humanist. Colli
