Hillsboro Man Found Deceased Near Crashed Motorcycle

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.

(HILLSBORO, Ore.) - Deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a motorcycle over the embankment on Germantown Road near the intersections of Old Germantown and Skyline.

Lt. Mary Lindstrand, Public Information Officer with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, says a passer-by noticed a motorcycle over the embankment Sunday morning just before 9:30 a.m.

Linsstrand says the motorcycle operator sustained fatal injuries. The deceased has been identified as 55-year old John Barendregt of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Family notification have been made by Multnomah County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Hillsboro Police Department.

The Multnomah County Vehicular Crimes Team is continuing to investigate this incident.

At this time, the cause of the accident is still being investigated.

This interagency team is comprised of investigators from not only the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office but also the Fairview Police Department, Gresham Police Department, and Troutdale Police Department.
