(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Having been outscored 28-11 in the first four games, the Spokane Indians were out for revenge in the final game of the five game series.

Tallying 11 hits, Spokane scored four runs and got a solid outing from starter Derek Thompson to salvage the series with a 4-1 win.

Spokane wasted little time, scratching across a run in the first inning.

A Nick Gonzalez walk to Isiah Kiner-Falefa and a single by Seth Spivey put runners aboard to start the game. After back-to-back strikeouts, Jose Trevino singled down the left field line to put the Indians on the board.

Salem-Keizer tied the game at one in the bottom half of the frame. Johneshwy Fargas led off with a single to right field. With one out, Christian Arroyo was also awarded with a single after his liner hit off the leg of field umpire Art Gonzalez.

Skyler Ewing knotted the game at one with a one-out liner up the middle to plate Fargas.

For Ewing, it was just his first RBI in the past nine games after starting the season with 13 RBIs through his first seven.

Spokane answered back with three consecutive singles in the second inning, the third coming off the bat of Charles Moorman for an RBI.

Taking a 2-1 lead after that hit, the Indians never looked back. They scored a run in the third on an infield single by Saquan Johnson, and added an additional run of insurance in the top of the eighth.

That was more than enough support for Derek Thompson, who allowed just one run in six innings despite scattering eight hits. It was his fourth win of the season, and the third in his last four starts.

Entering tonight's contest, Thompson surrendered just one run in his past 13 innings of work.

Up next: The Volcanoes will welcome in the Eugene Emeralds for game one of a three-game series at Volcanoes Stadium. Ethan Miller will toe the rubber for Salem-Keizer. He is 3-1 with a 5.22 ERA in eight starts this season. Miller pitched six innings and gave up two runs, earning the win in his last start.
