(DALLAS, Ore. ) - The cremated remains of Cpl. Kory Wiens and his canine search dog, Cooper, arrived at the Corvallis Municipal Airport at around 11:15 AM on Monday.

An Oregon National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team was present in dress-blue uniforms to ensure the proper transfer of the remains from the airplane to the vehicle, and again transferred the remains from the vehicle to the Dallas Mortuary Chapel where a viewing was held.

Agencies involved in escorting the procession included, Oregon State Police, Corvallis Police Department, Benton County Sheriff's Office, Oregon Department of Transportation, Linn County Sheriff's Office, Albany Police Department, Polk County Sheriff's Office, Independence Police Department, Monmouth Police Department, Dallas Police Department, and Patriot Guard motorcycle group.

Members of the Wiens family said they recognized familiar faces standing along the procession route as they drove by, and they are very appreciative of the support they have received from everyone.

The Wiens family would like to make the public aware of a scam.

There is an individual who is unknown to the family that is approaching businesses in Dallas, requesting donations on behalf of the family for the burial of Kory's dog, Cooper.

The family said this attempt to collect donations is false.

Proper burial arrangements have already been made for Cooper.

The only donations the family has requested are for the purpose of customizing Kory's 1972 Dodge "Swinger" in his honor, and donations are ONLY being accepted at Washington Federal Savings Bank for the Kory Wiens Memorial Fund.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the Faith Evangelical Free Church, 2290 E Ellendale Ave., Dallas, Ore.

A procession to the graveside service at Salt Creek Cemetery will immediately follow the memorial service.

After the graveside service, family and friends are welcome to return to the Faith Evangelical Free Church for a reception.
