Why is Romney Resisting?

When a question arises, as now it has, about his personal affairs of wealth offshore as well as in the United States, the people have a right to know about them before voting for Mitt Romney for President.

(PASO ROBLES, CA) - It really does appear he has something to hide. As President of these United States he should rise above legalities to the level of moral certainty.

To excuse himself from his moral duty by comparing his situation to that of John Kerry whose wife was heiress to the Heinz fortune misses the point.

John was not required to release his wife’s returns which everyone knows would be astounding, but separate from her husband’s income which was the tax return of necessity, both legal; and morally.

Mitt Romney is and always has been the sole provider of his family’s wealth and the basis for all his tax returns.

As a bishop in the LDS, it is consistent with its teachings and expectation. When a question arises, as now it has, about his personal affairs of wealth offshore as well as in the United States, the people have a right to know about them before voting for Mitt Romney for President.

I believe the LDS would agree.
