(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland Police have arrested a 52-year-old man after he allegedly exposed himself to a 5-year-old girl on a TriMet bus. Portland Police spokesman Sergeant Pete Simpson says police began their investigation on July 7, after officers assigned to the transit division responded to a call of a man exposing himself to a young female in the area of Southwest 6th Avenue and Columbia Street. Officers retrieved a bus video recording which was used to identify and later locate the suspect. Officer served a search warrant on the suspect's place of residence where evidence related to the crime was seized. Karl Deickmiller was identified as the suspect prior to his arrest but was receiving medical treatment, and was being monitored prior to his actual arrest, Simpson said. Deickmiller has been booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Public Indecency, Interfering with Public Transportation (two counts), Indecent Exposure and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.
