(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem and most parts of Oregon, was greeted Sunday morning by thunderstorms, with lightning and booming thunder, that later in the day produced small hail and gusty winds, but has now worked it's way out of the state giving way to warmer temperatures again.

The thunderstorms did knockout some power in various locations of the state for a short time, and those visiting the Marion County Fair sought cover as the fast moving thunderstorms rolled through the mid-Willamette Valley. The storms did produce a small amount of rain, but not enough to help slow down a fast moving wildfire in the southern part of the state that has destroyed some homes.

Temperatures in Salem and the mid-Willamette valley are expected to climb back into the 90's on Monday, and stay at or near that mark, with the possibility that on Tuesday and Wednesday, we could see temperatures near or over 100 degrees.
