(SALEM, Ore. ) - Corban University head men's soccer coach Aaron Lewis announced on Friday afternoon that he had added two more players to the 2014 recruiting class.

"The staff and I are really pleased that both of these young men recognized the unique and special situation we have at Corban," commented Lewis. "I have found their journeys to our University to be inspiring, and I believe their experiences will add to our positive team culture. On the field, Quamie and Javi possess the ability to make plays that affect the outcome of a match in an instant. We look forward to getting them in with the rest of our group to start preparations for an exciting season."

Quamie Dinnall – Midfielder – Calumet College of St. Joseph – Jamaica

Dinnall comes to Corban as a transfer-student from Calumet College of St. Joseph. He grew up playing soccer in his home country of Jamaica, representing his team as a captain at all levels. During his youth, Dinnall earned a Dacosta Cup Championship, Ben Francis Championship, and was ultimately invited to compete on the U-20 Jamaican National team.

Dinnall plans to major in Sports Science with hopes of one day becoming a coach or sports health advisor.

Javier Melendrez – Midfielder/Forward – McKay High School – Ore.

Melendrez brings his talents to the Warriors after leading McKay High School to the best season in school history in the fall of 2013 with a 15-1-1 overall record and a trip to the 6A semifinals. Melendrez was dominant all year long and racked up 18 goals and 14 assists, including a pair of hat-tricks throughout the season. For his efforts, he was tabbed the Central Valley Conference (CVC) Player of the Year in addition to his First-Team All-CVC accolade. Moreover, he collected First-team All-State honors.
