Amity Woman Stabbed in Her Home

(AMITY) - Investigators with the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office say a 40 year old Amity woman was stabbed in her home Monday morning. No charges have been filed, but the woman's 14-year old son is being questioned in the matter.

40-year old Jennifer Lin Lumsden of 6165 Yampo Road in rural Yamhill County, was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Emmanuel Hospital in Portland.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that Lumsden was able to call 911 and summon law enforcement and medical assistance. “My Deputies responded at 8:32 AM this morning. With the assistance of Amity Police and Fire, McMinnville Police and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a 14 year old son of Mrs. Lumsden was found approximately 2 hours later. The son is being questioned by my Detectives at this time.” Crabtree went on to say that no charges have yet been filed.

Lumsden was at home with her son when the incident occurred. She is undergoing surgery at Emmanuel Hospital at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
