Jul-09-2010 02:21TweetFollow @OregonNews What's Good for the Goose Does Not ApplyBy M. Dennis Paul, Ph.D. for Salem-News.comObama Maintains Israel is the Exception to Middle East Disarmament.
(WINDSOR, N.H.) - On Tuesday, July 6, 2010, President Barack Obama appears to have presented the same stacked deck of PR cards shuffled by his predecessors over the past 40 years and reaffirmed that Israel would remain the exception to the rules each and every other Middle Eastern country would be expected to play by in all present and future attempts to negotiate a “nuclear free” Middle East. Once, again, (by appearances) a US President proposes a non-option “option” to the heads of Middle East nations and expects a result far different than what has historically occurred each and every time these cards are dealt. In the language of addictions, that is the definition of insanity. Israel has never acknowledged the full extent of its nuclear programs. Never. Far too many writers use the term “ambiguous” when writing about Israel’s response to questions regarding its program and nuclear capabilities. The appropriate term is “deceptive”. Alternately, one might use “deliberately deceitful”. Addressing Israel’s lack of candor within global discussions relative to nuclear disarmament, the term “obstructionist” is also quite fitting. Hypocrisy, and (now) naked support for a decades long program of institutional hypocrisy, no matter what rationalizations are used to convey and convince others such acts and support are reasonable and just, cannot be viewed by truly reasoned individuals and nations as anything but hypocrisy... and, yet, the actor (Israel) and its cast of supporters (the US) persist in attempting to convince the world “hypocrisy” is anything but. ”...We discussed issues that arose out of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Conference. ... There is no change in U.S. policy when it comes to these issues. We strongly believe that, given its size, its history, the region that it’s in, and the threats that are leveled against us—against it, that Israel has unique security requirements. It’s got to be able to respond to threats or any combination of threats in the region. And that’s why we remain unwavering in our commitment to Israel’s security. And the United States will never ask Israel to take any steps that would undermine their security interests.” -President Obama “appears” is cautiously used, above, for it is a known fact that in setting up a review of the Non-Proliferation Treaty earlier this year, President Obama reluctantly accepted the demands from the Arab nations that Israel be urged to sign the treaty (NPT). The genuinely ambiguous statements made by both PM Netanyahu and the President, in closing their meeting this week, suggest that Israel will, again, forego signing this treaty and will be fully supported in this negation by the US. In reporting on this review, administration mouthpieces stressed that this was not a formal declaration but, instead, a review leading up to a scheduled conference and that the conference, itself, would only be a discussion as opposed to actual negotiation with Israel to lead it toward signing the NPT. Netanyahu, and Obama, know full well that by signing this treaty, Israel would be forced to disclose its full nuclear program and potential... and would, further, be obligated to negotiate its dismantling. The common perception is that there has been a secret agreement between the US and Israel over the past 4 decades to conceal the nature and capabilities of the Israeli nuclear program. It is also commonly believed that Israel possesses approximately 200 nuclear warheads with the ability to launch, at a moment’s notice, toward any Arab nation. The obvious hypocrisy is that Israel asserts a right to vociferously lobby for the non-proliferation of nuclear armament, even peaceful nuclear programs, in all the other Middle Eastern nations (particularly, at this moment, Iran) while continuing to refuse signing on to the treaty it expects those nations to sign ... and all the while refusing to disclose its own programs. Its no secret that the US has unconditionally supported Israel to serve its own design on maintaining a thumb on the forehead of the Middle East. Whether intentional or merely a slip, Obama’s closing speech clearly indicated that any threat against Israel is a threat against the US. Notably, the wording in his speech placed the US (us) before Israel (it). The one small extract from the closing speeches of PM Netanyahu and President Obama, highlighted above, is sufficiently indicative of the deception both players are willing to foist upon a world rapidly becoming more aware of this decades long unholy alliance. Conviction that both are sufficiently naive to believe this transparent fraud will lessen the degree of mistrust and anger recently heightened by Israel’s unconscionable assault upon Freedom Flotilla in May of this year is fully supported by the entirety of their statements ... replete with all the “wonderful’s” and “excellent’s” peppered throughout. This world, however, no longer tied to the corporate and political lobby monopolization of mainstream news is at end with insanity... the insanity of lies, of deflection, of obfuscation, and all the other cognitive distortions proffered by the addicts to power and control. This world will no longer be swayed by the arrogant insanity presented in this extract: “The President says that he has a habit of confounding all the cynics and all the naysayers and all those who preclude possibility, and he’s shown it time and time again. I think I’ve had my opportunity to confound some cynics myself, and I think if we work together, with President Abbas, then we can bring a great message of hope to our peoples, to the region, and to the world.” ---------PM Netanyahu And this world is not letting go of its rightful, justified feelings of betrayal by its leaders. As quickly as these administrations now publicize their lies and distortions, electronic media free from corporate/lobby restraints asks the important questions, does the important research, and uncovers the important truths. In this regard, the cards being laid on the table by these two leaders are clearly nothing more than a foundation for a house of cards. A house purporting to offer solutions through supporting measures for peace and security based on a two nation solution (long ago recognized as unworkable), suggesting that face to face meetings supplant the current “proximity” talks (absent the legally elected representatives of the Palestinians), suggesting economic freedom and opportunity (while insisting unalienable right to control any and all access to and from the “free” state and while currently supporting an illegal occupation and blockade), offers to “trade” back stolen land, (while in the process of stealing even more land)... The transparent intent of this week’s speeches can best be summed up in this last excerpt: “I think it’s very important that the Palestinians not look for excuses for incitement, that they are not engaging in provocative language; that at the international level, they are maintaining a constructive tone, as opposed to looking for opportunities to embarrass Israel. “ -------------President Obama Readers can find the entire transcript of the PM & President’s speeches at http://3nlc.sl.pt So distant from any connection to reality, each paragraph (if not previously debunked by both readable history and current exposure) is a testament to the undeniable insanity of both leaders. ============================================================ M. I can say that I don't feel betrayed by Obama, because I never trusted him in the first place. Everything in his history suggested a guy who furthered his career by sucking up to establishment types and maintaining the status quo. He never stood up for anything to anyone before and was a willing tool of multiple political machines. I wish more sane people had realized that years ago when it seemed obvious to me, and I don't consider myself all that astute. Yet Obama has done everything I expected him to do. The fairy tale of "antiwar candidate Obama" never actually existed. More people should have listened to what he was actually saying, which was always in line with the Rahm Emanuels of the world, and not just what they wanted to hear.

So what did Obama get from meeting Netanyahu..? nothing... But Netanyahu got a lot from Obama.. He was assured of keeping his WMDS, and was assured of getting latest US tech to continue in this field. Was assured of more money. Was assured of protection in the UN. Never was asked but was supported regarding the flotilla..in fact all criticism Obama directed to Turkey. Was assured of more pressure on Iran. No mention of Gaza. No mention of withdrawing from Palestinians land..and more money leaving US to build more settlements. Obama got photo opportunity to help Democrats in coming November election. He hopes!! i mentioned long ago, that obama was nothing more than a product, with a shiny new label, 'new and improved/hope and change, to continue the agenda of the elite. Arizona is being taken over by mexican drug cartels, killings, kidnappings, death threats to sheriffs etc. all the way up into Phoenix. and obama does nothing for the American citizens. In fact, he is gonna sue them!! WHy? because his job is a one world government, no borders, and no jobs, because the agenda is to also lower the U.S. living standards to 3rd world country status. I knew this long ago, because I read their books, and they are like a friggin road map as the years pass and I watch it all unfold..Its time to wake up now people, its here. When they de-value the dollar by end of year, then maybe you will listen to me. they are taking your pension plans next..

Is there ANY sane person who does not feel utterly betrayed and slapped in the face by Obama ? He should be arrested along with his staff and deported to Israel and never allowed to darken our shores with his treasonous @ss and his gang of Israel-firsters-America-lasters..When he picked Son-Of-A-Terrorist Emanuel for Chief of Staff immediately after election, I knew we had been sold out and thrown under the bus. We got "Change" alright...change for the worst. How many betrayals will the American people take? Our so-called leaders do not fear or respect us..if anything we are a nusiance, like pesky flies or ants at a picnic...
