Sheikh Salah: The Zionist Project is Dying

He also urged the Islamic and Arab nations to mobilize their efforts to swiftly liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation.

Sheikh Salah

(ISTAMBUL) - Head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands Sheikh Ra'ed Salah expressed his belief that the Arab region would see radical changes in the near future, including the decay and demise of the Zionist project.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), Sheikh Salah emphasized that the Israeli occupation regime is trying to divide the Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews as it has done with the Abrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city, and it is in the process of dividing the Aqsa, although it has not declared this in public.

"The division is a transitional goal because [the Israeli occupation] is still determined to achieve its ultimate aim, which is the building of the temple in place of the Aqsa Mosque, and today we are facing a kind of bullying by the occupation which uses all means to fulfill its interim objective and strive to reach the ultimate end," head of the Islamic Movement underlined.

"The issue of Jerusalem is not humanitarian in order to deal with it as if its natives need food because it is a question of rights and sovereignty under occupation and in danger, and it is an issue of illegal presence of occupation trying to Judaize the land of Jerusalem, its homes, holy sites and institutions and ethnically cleanse our people in Jerusalem," he stressed.

In another context, the Islamic Movement official expressed his optimism that the new Egyptian president would be supportive for the Palestinian cause, especially the issue of Jerusalem.

He also urged the Islamic and Arab nations to mobilize their efforts to swiftly liberate Palestine from the Israeli occupation.

I would disagree. Netanyahu's Likud party and the center-right Kadima party headed by Shaul Mofaz agreed to form a new coalition. Together the two parties will now control 120 seats in the 196-member Knesset. This assures a hard-line stand toward the Palestinians making sure there is no viable Palestinian state. Mofaz's unilateral peace plan calls for giving 60 percent of the West Bank to the Palestinians for a state. All of the large settlements would stay in place. There would be no construction freeze and Jerusalem would remain "united' under Israeli rule. In the meantime, Israel will continue building new settlements, slowly squeezing the Palestinians. Zionism is alive and well.

Do you know that this guy you gave special thanks to is a terrorist?

Editor: He is not an Israeli, I don't know what you mean.

You thank a terrorist for a statement like this? Jerusa

Editor: I thank anybody who stands up to the war crime state of apartheid Israel, the terrorists are in Israel, they are called Zionists, get with the 21st Century why don't you?

lem belongs to Israel. This scumbag calls Israel a bullie? He is a terrorist and he and his people are willing to blow themselves up and kill innocent people. That's ok with you? I guess so. You are more sympathetic to throwback terrorists than the people of Israel.

Editor: No way, the Palestinians have had everything stolen from them, this story is about how those years of thievery are grinding to a close.  Palestinians are not terrorists.  Maybe a few, but even then it is the fault of Israel that such feelings exist.  Steal my land and I'll come after you too.
