Jul-04-2012 00:56TweetFollow @OregonNews Vietnamese Agent Orange Dioxin Victims TodaySteve Ho for Salem-News.comWe're hosting a 'Rebuild The Nation' event at Thong Nhat Park, in Hanoi, to raise $50,000 for a new safe-house in Hue city where suffer most of Dioxin in the war.
(HANOI, Viet Nam) - I am writing you on the behalf of the Agent Orange War’s Victims, a non-profit organization that spreads awareness about the victims of Dioxin in Vietnam war. At the Agent Orange War’s victims organization, we provide victims of Dioxin and abuse with support groups, counseling and safe-houses/school across the country. On July 31, 2012, we will be hosting a Rebuild The Nation’s event at Thong Nhat Park, in Hanoi, to raise $50,000 for a new safe-house in Hue city where suffer most of Dioxin in the war. The Agent Orange War’s Victims organization currently has 15 safe-houses in 6 cities and towns with the highest rate of Dioxin’s victims. The new safe-house will provide family victims of Quang Tri province, the new safe-house a safe environment to seek refuge, counseling and help with how to get out of their situation. We understand the event has a high fundraising goal and would appreciate your financial sponsorship. The Agent Orange War’s victims organization has already started fundraising by accepting our employee donations and I have already made a personal contribution of $200. Your contribution of $1 or more would greatly help us reach our goal in time for our July 1 deadline. At Rebuild The Nation’s Event, the Agent Orange War’s victims organization will be inviting local and national businesses, children’s organizations and families to participate in the event. If you could donate an item for our auction, provide food/beverages, print posters and t-shirts for the event, that would help make Rebuild The Nation’s Event a huge success. At Rebuild The Nation’s Event, the Agent Orange War’s victims organization will also be giving 100 sterling silver rings to the most involved the Agent Orange War’s victims organization members. If you could either donate the rings or help pay for them that too would be greatly appreciated. In return for your generosity, the Agent Orange War’s victims organization will be printing the names of each business involved with the event on commemorative t-shirts. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and about the Agent Orange War’s victims organization. We hope you consider making a donation. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact me via email at vietnamdioxin@gmail.com or visit our website at www.dioxinvn.com.
