(JERUSALEM) - The U.S. and United Nations have condemned the abduction and murder of a Palestinian teenager in Israel, which sparked fierce clashes in East Jerusalem. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry called it "sickening" while the UN demanded justice over the "despicable act". 17-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdair was seen being forced into a car early on Wednesday. Palestinian leaders expressed outrage over the killing, amid claims it was in revenge for the murder of three Israeli teenagers. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Jewish settlers of killing Mohammed Abu Khdair, calling for the "strongest punishment against the murderers if [Israel] truly wants peace". France Press quoted the militant group Hamas as telling Israeli leaders: "Our people will not let this crime pass -- You will pay the price for these crimes." Israeli leaders also condemned the killing, pledging a full investigation. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was "despicable" and that he had ordered police to work "as quickly as possible to find out who was behind the heinous murder of the youth". He called on both sides "not to take the law into their own hands". Kerry said there were "no words to convey adequately our condolences to the Palestinian people". Source: BBC/AFP

Hello Salem News. Been a while. And surely as Israel misbehaves itself, it brings me back here yet again. I've come to the conclusion that the only way this thing is going to be settled is through violence. There's way too much hatred on both sides for it to be contained for much longer. Operation Cast Lead (Which brought me here to begin with) finally showed Israel's cloven hoof to the world. The seed has been planted in people's minds. We should now allow that to work. A third intifada is most certainly on the way. If it does break out, all those foreign companies that have set up shop in Israel will pack up their people and leave. This will cause Israel's economy to tank in a single day. Perhaps empty store shelves will convince the people of Israel where sound argument has not? Squeezing the government hasn't worked, so we must now squeeze the people themselves so they rise up against the zionists and finally give them the boot. It's not going to be pretty. It shouldn't be. This has gone on far too long as it is. In this case, I believe a horrible end is better than an endless horror. So let the gates of hell fly open. Let Shiva dance. Because in the silence of aftermath, healing will finally begin. x
