I guess that would depend on whether you are on the shady side or the sunny side of the elephant. Jefferson, I never said I believed in global warming, so I'm going to assume that the idealogue you deride is the original poster. I just pointed out that what happens in a micro-climate has little to do with the global warming - or cooling. I've been looking around on the web, trying to find any site or documentation that can convince me one way or the other - and haven't found one. My personal thought was that ocean depth and ice cap volume would be the definitive indicator - but these are extremely complex things to measure. And you are right in one thing, the climate of recorded history is a laughably small snapshot. However, we do have fossil records of temperature cycles and ocean levels, spanning the millenia required to make a more infomred assessment. There are so many factors that need to be considered in interpreting these records, however, that there will always be plenty of room for debate. I also think that mankind should try to reduce the impact of fossil fuels on the atmosphere and environment. Do you remember the days after 911, when all the planes were grounded? Did you notice how clear the sky was, and how quiet it was? And in closing: Why are people like you and Neal so aggressive to other posters? Didn't your parents teach you to be polite?

A blind man does not have to touch an elephant to describe temperature...but an ideologue would never understand for they have "no senses" to guide them...LOL P.S. The climate big picture is to review thousands of years of climate records, not some snapshot in time, e.g. , the last 100 years...but the uneducated zealots are clueless, so just watch them blather on as their tongues develop frostbite...a positive thing!

Because a little cold front like this has nothing to do with Global Warming. You are like the blind men trying to describe an elephant. One says it is a snake, another a tree, the third says a wall, and the fourth says a rope - you don't have the big picture.
