Salem Man Slashed by Intruder

Police say the suspect may have a dog bite on one of his arms.

(SALEM) - Salem police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who slashed another man with a knife in the victims basement Wednesday night.

Police say the 22-year-old victim heard his dog barking and started to search his home, located on 17th Street NE around 9:00 PM.

When the victim encountered the suspect, a struggle ensued, and the victim received two slash wounds to his forearm.

The suspect is described as a light skinned male, medium build, last seen wearing a black beanie cap, a black starter’s jacket with a star on it, and jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspects whereabouts should call Salem police at (503) 588-6123.
