Wheatland Ferry Back in Operation


Wheatland Ferry

(SALEM) - The Wheatland Ferry is now back in operation .

Willamette river levels are down and equipment maintenance upgrades have been completed.

The ferry is located one mile north of the Yamhill–Polk county border,and shuttles passengers across the Willamette River, linking Marion with Yamhill and Polk counties.

Hours of Operation:

Daily – 5:30 AM to 9:45 PM – Year-Round Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas Days Closed at Willamette River 16' Stage

Toll Schedule: Motorcycles – $1 Autos & Pickups – $1.35 Vehicles w/Trailers – $2.75 Vehicles Over 20 Feet – $2.75 Dual-Axle Vehicles – $4 Vehicles Using Entire Ferry – $12

Maximum Weight: 80,000 lbs (40 tons)

Maximum Length: 63'
