Stabbing Death Leads to Murder Charges in Portland (UPDATE)

An adult female stabbing victim was transported immediately to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Police detectives arrested a man on charges of Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, after an early morning stabbing that led to a woman's subsequent death.

The suspect has been identified as 54-year old Johng K. Koh. The victim is 78-year old Ran Hee Koh. Police say the suspect in this case, is the victim's son.

Sergeant Greg Stewart with the Portland Police Bureau, says the stabbing was reported to police at 4:30 a.m.

Portland Police officers were dispatched to the area of 118th and Southeast Lincoln.

The adult female stabbing victim, Ran Hee Koh, was found at the scene, and transported immediately to an area hospital.

"The woman died from her injuries at the hospital. The suspect in this incident was known by the victim and is in custody," Stewart said.

The investigation is still ongoing. No other information is being released at this time.
