(Portland) - After mailing ballots to 10,000 Oregonians, the Taxpayers Association of Oregon announced the results of the Republican Governor`s race at the Taxpayer Academy Award dinner last night. Kevin Mannix, who has consistently led in independent polling for the Republican nomination by 5 to 1 margin, received more votes than Saxton and Atkinson combined. `We are running a strong volunteer driven campaign with our message to clean out the management deadwood in Salem and set Oregon on a new positive course, ` Mannix added.
