(PORTLAND, Ore.) - The FBI is releasing photos of a female bank robber and the car she was believed to be driving in the hope that the public can help identify her. Investigators have dubbed her the "Wrangler Bandit" because a green Jeep Wrangler was seen leaving the scene. It is a 1997 – 2006 JT Model Wrangler with distinctive five-star chrome wheels and the word “Wrangler” painted alongside the hood. It has a soft-style canopy. The woman robbed a Wells Fargo bank located at 662 SE Jackson in Roseburg, on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at about 10:50 a.m. The woman walked into the bank, demanded cash and left. Witnesses describe her as White, 30 - 45 years old, five-foot five to five-foot nine-inches tall with a heavy build. She was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark beanie-style cap, black gloves and white shoes. FBI Investigators believe this may be the same woman who robbed the Washington Federal Savings Bank on September 2nd, 2008, in Lincoln City. The FBI has a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in that case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Roseburg Police Department at (541) 440-1198, FBI in Eugene at (541) 343-5222 during normal business hours or the FBI in Portland at (503) 224-4181 twenty four hours a day.
