Will ISIS Attack Jenadriyah in KSA?

Alcohol, dancing and gambling are, after all, against the rules of ISIS.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Saudi Arabia continues to celebrate Jenadriyah's controversial festivals after three decades of celebration under cultural titles near the capital, Riyadh.

Saudi Arabia holds these festivals under the auspices of the Saudi monarch and under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian National Guard and the Saudi Grand Mufti in an event considered by many experts as Riyadh’s opportunity to present a distorted version of the Saudi bitter reality concomitant with and side-lining of the social protests in the Saudi media.

As the Saudi grand Mufti and ISIS terrorist group prohibit celebrating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, the General President for Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque, considered preserving the Jenadriyah festivals as a necessity due to what he described as its religious, cultural and national roots.

Given that the management of these festivals takes place under the gazing Saudi eyes leads to intense presence of the citizens –which the Saudi regime consider as popular support - Saudi authorities show no attention to cases of corruption and moral scandals taking place in these celebrations during the past years.

This duality comes as the Saudi authorities acknowledge women’s driving in Saudi Arabia as a moral scandal. Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud the Saudi King, still has the support of radical clerics in the country as long as it shows a different picture of the Saudi regime and enhances its position in the media.

In the same context in Iraq and Syria, watching football matches and anti-ISIS channels, not to mention smoking and trying to travel without ISIS permission and even usual religious ceremonies in the areas controlled by ISIS face penalties like execution. Observers wonder if the terrorist organization will show compassion and gentleness towards the Saudi celebrations in Jenadriyah that include dancing, alcohol and gambling.

The myriad of similarities between the ISIS terrorist organization and Saudi Arabia, reveals the fact that they are from same roots and from one school of thought. Therefore, ISIS terrorists would not care about events in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar that disregard the fatwas of scholars and ignore the advisers of the committee for the promotion of virtue in Saudi Arabia and will continue to punish people for watching football matches in al-Riqqa...
